2005 ‘Crossroads’ Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot

Our Crossroads Range wines are designed to be easy drinking styles showing intense primary fruit flavours with an uncomplicated wine making style. The wines are fruit driven and made in an approachable style that are best enjoyed young. The Crossroads range are perfect for alfresco dining or as an every day wine.

Tasting Notes: Mid-red in colour. Aromas of berries. Simple approachable palate with sweet fruit. Minimal use of oak.

Wine Analysis: Alcohol = 13.0%, pH = 3.7, TA = 6.5

Vintage Notes: The 2005 vintage was generally warm and dry. The harvest of the Merlot fruit occurred harvested on 14th April at 12.9 Baume and the Cabernet Sauvignon on 25th April at 13.2 Baume. The extended season allowed the fruit to hang on the vine for an extended period allowed riper fruit flavours to be expressed in the wine.
