the varietal fruit characters of each variety in a youthful
and modern style. The soft and elegant palate is complemented
by the full flavour of the wine. Enjoy these wines now or cellar
to appreciate the complexities that develop over time.
Tasting Notes: Colour is light – mid
red. Lifted and gamey nose with powerful cherries dominating.
A full palate with silky tannins and a clean rounded finish.
Wine Analysis: Alcohol = 12.8 % , pH = 3.5, TA = 6.8
Vintage Notes: The 2006 vintage in both the Southern Highlands
and Orange regions experienced warm and dry weather throughout
the vintage. The fruit from the Southern Highlands was harvested
on 5th April at 13.1 Baume and the Orange fruit was harvested
on 1st April at 13.5 Baume. The wine was matured in combination
of new and old oak. The fruit from Orange added the structural
aspects while the Southern Highlands fruit added the sweet fragrance
of this wine.
