Our '1855' Range of wines reflect the varietal fruit characters of each variety in a youthful and modern style. The soft and elegant palate is complemented by the full flavour of the wine. Enjoy these wines now or cellar to appreciate the complexities that develop over time.
Tasting Notes: Mid red in colour. Lifted and dusty fruit characters with some berries and mint. Similar flavours follow onto the palate and are complemented by a combination of French and American oak.
Wine Analysis: Alcohol = 12.9 %, pH = 3.7, TA = 6.5g/l
Vintage Notes: Both Southern Highlands and Barossa Valley vintages ensured the production of intensely ripe flavour fruit. The fruit from the Southern Highlands was harvested on 29th April at 13.2 Baume and Barossa fruit was harvested on 27th March at 13.6 Baume. The wine was matured in a combination of new and old French oak.
